Crown of Charlemagne
Inspired by François Gérard's 1805 portrait of Napoleon in his coronation robes, this ring captures the essence of imperial regalia through meticulous craftsmanship and historical reverence. The portrait relief, rendered in solid 18-carat white and yellow gold, sits upon a foundation of red guilloché vitreous enamel—a direct homage to Napoleon's legendary crown. Encircling the piece, laurel leaves and oak leaves intertwine with the eagle of the Légion d'honneur, each symbol meticulously carved to honour the emblems of empire. Cabochon-cut gemstones punctuate the composition, their smooth domes echoing the jewels that adorned the crowns of emperors.
